Terms of Use for interfacing with Bayanda Mzoneli on social media and the internet

  1. By accepting my, or sending your, facebook friend request, following me on twitter, instagram, Linkedin, chatting on Whatsapp and other platforms, you accept this Terms of Use, herein referred to as TOU, and the related Terms of Use/Copyright/Disclaimer that may be contained in my other online channels. (By also spying on my social media profiles using other person's/ghost profile, listening to someone tell you about it and overhearing a conversation about it, you accept the TOU)
     
  2. This TOU is subject to change with or without notice. The TOU further applies to those who will plead ignorance of it (ignorantia juris non excusat).
     
  3. I may not be held liable by nagging boy/girl friends, a court of law, an HR department disciplinary committee, the ANC disciplinary committee, the ANC Integrity Commission and/or any other tribunal for my posts/updates, comments and friends' comments contained across social media. This includes the tags to photos, notes, status update, tweets, etc.
     
  4. The views expressed do not represent the views of my employer, either as an institution or as a person, in anyway whatsoever. Unless or otherwise specified.
     
  5. Any one who uses, makes reference to, any text, or part thereof, contained in my profile without prior written permission is guilty of contravening this TOU and shall be liable of a fine at a minimum of R250 000 (2023), in particular the media/journalists/reporters. The exchange rate of the date of offence will determine the equivalent amount for international offenders. The minimum fine will be reviewed accordingly to cater for inflation and Purchasing Power Parity.
     
  6. The personal details contained in my social media profiles may, or may not, be true. Thus it should not be treated as dogma. The use, reuse, misuse and abuse of the information contained therein shall be regarded, at best, as rumour and hearsay and, at worst, as innuendo.
     
  7. The photos contained on the social media profiles, the profiles linked to it or any others that may tag me may or may not be real photos. Unless expressly verified with me, those photos may be a product of abuse of photo editing software and thus cannot be taken seriously as evidence of something having happened or not happened.
     
  8. My association with social media groups/pages, as reflected on my profile, does not, in any way, imply my approval, support or belief in what those groups advocate or oppose, except for the Official Catholics groups, the Official ANC and its alliance structures groups. However, even for the Catholics and the ANC, I am fence sitter for Vatican II and Traditional, as well as a fence sitter for RET and other variants of ANC factions, hence I do not endorse any specific sub-group on neither.
     
  9. I reserve a right to remove you as a social media associate with or without notice.
     
  10. If you are an overly sensitive person with low self-esteem, no sense of humour or irrational religious beliefs thus rendering you unable to accept this TOU, kindly remove me as your friend, and pour a circle of sea salt around you and your PC/mobile while keeping your social media page open.
     
  11. Those of you with an overwhelming fear of the unknown will be gratified to learn that there is no hidden message revealed by reading this TOU backwards.

  13. The contents of paragraph 12 above is classified, that is why it is written in white ink. Its contents changes frequently and would be revealed as and when necessary. The final authority of what it says at any given time, and its interpretation, rests with the author of this TOU.

  14. In terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) in South Africa, and similar laws in other jurisdictions, interfacing with me constitute a waiver of libel relating to the co-created content, and any other content that may be shared by me.
     
  15. The contents posted across my social media constitutes the preliminary draft of my (auto)biography. They constitute a permanent historical record, as long as they were true at the time of posting. They will be used in the (auto)biography. As such things posted in the past are unlikely to ever be deleted, with my insincere apologies to those from the past who regret having been part of the posted past, and those from the future who will detest my past, as well third parties who might actively search for offence on old social media posts.
